Taiwanese beef noodles by @beefnoodlesmelbourne
What are Taiwanese beef noodles? Think delicious tender beef, a fragrant slightly spicy broth, fresh noodles, spring onions and the absolutely necessary Chinese pickled cabbage. A separate side of homemade chilli oil is made from beef tallow infused with chilli and spices. The result is a perfectly orchestrated bowl of spicy, savoury, fresh, salty deliciousness. Don't drool on your keyboard.
What you get in the kit (one serving):
- Broth pouch 500ml
- Main pouch: - noodles - braised beef brisket and shanks - pickled cabbage - chopped spring onions
- Homemade Chilli oil
1. Boil water in a small pot with a pinch of salt. Add the noodles to cook for 4 minutes. Strain water and place noodles in your favourite bowl.
2. Empty the broth pouch in to the pot, add in the meat pieces and bring to boil. (You can add the chilli oil at this stage or add it as you eat if you want to fine tune the level of spiciness). Once boiled pour over the noodles.
3. Garnish with pickled vegetables and spring onions.
